Valor History

Valor is one of Britain’s much-loved brands and one of the most recognised names in home heating. A far cry from the humble beginnings in 1890, when Valor began by manufacturing oil storage cylinders from a small factory in Ludgate Hill, Birmingham. Valor’s enviable reputation today is built on reliability, trust and safety and this stems from our unswerving commitment to create energy efficient products that surpass the needs of today’s modern lifestyles.

Technology and investment….

Dedication and commitment, combined with pioneering technology, is the reason we’ve always been steps ahead of the competition. Dating as far back as 1902, we developed the first ever portable oil heater and production even extended to bicycles and fire extinguishers. Following expansion to a purpose built factory in Erdington, Birmingham and after playing a large part in the war effort, Valor turned its attention to gas fires in the 1960’s. We have now developed even further to produce a collection of exclusive Valor gas cookers, Made In Britain to the highest of quality.

Trust us, we have it covered…..

As one would expect from a leading manufacturer, all Valor gas and electric products are quality tested to rigorous standards, and all are made in accordance with Quality Management System Standard BSI 9001. All our gas fires come complete with a flame safety device OxySafe that cuts off the gas in the unlikely event that the pilot light becomes extinguished and a wealth of other safety features. Meanwhile, all our electric models are BEAB and CE approved and, for the ultimate in safety, feature an integral thermostat and overheat safety cut out. Energy efficient, they also incorporate LED lights with an expected lifespan of over 50,000 hours.

When you purchase a Valor product, you do so with the utmost confidence that it will serve you for many years to come. From rags or riches, one thing remains the same – at Valor, quality reigns supreme.
